NFL Picks: Week 7 and Result Week 5

Yes, I know I skipped week 6, and it’s not because I did so bad in week 5.  I just haven’t had time.

Week 5 was bad.  2 win, 4 losses!  Brings my current record to:  17 wins, 12 losses, 1 ties.  What really stinks is my not-dumb pick lost, by .5!  Sorry, my not-dumb record:  2 wins, 1 loss, 1 tie.

Week 7 should be interesting.  I’m not picking against the Chargers anymore.  In fact, I’m picking them this week.  Let’s see how I do!

NFL Picks: Week 5

Not as tough this week.  I wouldn’t say it’s an easy week, but I like these.  I think I’ll have a good shot at hitting 4 out of 6.

NFL Picks: Week 4 Results

Okay, turned out decent, but not great…2 wins, 2 losses, and 1 tie.  Actually that’s borderline bad…My record so far with spread, 17 wins, 10 losses, 2 ties.  My not-dumb picks?  3 wins, 0 losses, 2 ties.  No losses!

Hope you won some office money this past weekend!

WIN Indianapolis Colts New York Jets New York Jets (+9) Yes, I can imagine this being a bad pick, but the Jets have impressed me so far this season. Colts are a very good team, but the Jets are not bad…If Manning and company are on fire, I expect to be very wrong on this pick.
LOSS New England Patriots Cincinnati Bengals Cincinatti Bengals (-6) Remember when the Bengals were known as the Bungals? I think they will pull of this win easily. The Pats are headed in the wrong direction…How quickly dynasties fall. Bullish on Bengals…Bearish on Pats.
LOSS Jacksonville Jaguars Washington Redskins Jacksonville Jaguars (-3) Washington is going to dissappoint yet again. No QB, big problems. Portis is good, but not that good. Jacksonville will shut them down on the road.
TIE Cleveland Browns Oakland Raiders Cleveland (-3) Not-dumb pick! Cleveland has been playing pretty well…Oakland has not. I expect Cleveland to win, possibly by a touchdown or more.
WIN San Francisco 49ers Kansas City Chiefs OVER 40.5 Not-dumb pick #2! This game is going to be high scoring…I would’ve taken this at 48…I hate over-unders though…

NFL Picks: Week 4 - Another Tough Week

This week is going to be tough…I’ve got only five picks. Last week was amazing…7 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie. I don’t think I’ll repeat that all season.  This week features 2 not-dumb picks.  “Not-dumb” picks are equivalent to the “5 star pick” or “gold picks” of other sites.

NFL Picks: Week 3 Results [15-8-1, .705]

Wow!  What a week.  7 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie.  I’m so happy Atlanta loss, because their win would left me wondering what if for a very long time.  I never expected a week like this…

My current record:  15 wins - 8 losses - 1 tie, .705.

Not Dumb record:  2 wins - 0 losses - 1 tie.

NFL Picks: Week 3 - Do You Realize If Atlanta Wins Tonight, I Will Have Picked 8 Winners and 1 Tie????!!!!

If I had bet a parlay (multi-team bet), I would be getting at least 100 to 1 on this!!!!!!  Bet $5, win $500!  I am hoping that Atlanta doesn’t cover just so I won’t live wondering what if I had bet $20 bucks on my picks this week…ARRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!  100 to 1!  Talk about a return.  Sadly, I didn’t.

And the only tie?  My “not-dumb” pick …And Yes, all the exclamation and question marks are necessary…It’s that painful, yet enjoyable for me…DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT.  I should’ve bet a couple grand…haha…I would truly have achieved financial freedumb.

P.S. This week is still crazy.  Expect an extremely light posting schedule.  Hope the weekend treated you well…unlike myself (had to work all day Saturday & Sunday).

NFL Picks: Week 3

Here we go again!  This week looks really good!  So many picks I really like.  I actually had a hard time choosing the not-dumb pick, and there is no dumb pick this week.  They are all pretty decent.  Unlike last week, I expect to see pretty good results.  I hope.  We shall see…time to put away my crystal ball.  Good luck!

NFL Picks: Week 2 Results

The results are in!  A tough week is right.

Man what happened to Green Bay?  I thought I had that one in the bag, and they just fell apart.  Theoretically, as the weeks go on, I should be able to make “better” picks since, I’ll have more data to go on…The first two weeks are harder because, well, it’s a guess.  I’ve been able to see how they play…so no more excuses from here on out.  Hah.  At least I’m still above .500…barely.

NFL Picks: Week 2 [5-3-0, 0.625]

This week looks tough.  I had a hard time making these picks, except for the KC and Detroit picks.  The rest were real iffy.  Usually by week 3, you can kind of tell if a team is real or one/two week wonders.  I think fantasy scoring will be much larger this week, and I don’t expect any shutouts.
