The bullying and harassment needs to end

There’s a certain point when enough is enough.
Please spread the word about helping to stop bullying and harassment in all its forms, regardless of the reason.
It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 7 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months, many of them due to homophobic abuse in their homes or at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools. RIP Tyler Clementi, Asher Brown, Seth Walsh, Justin Aaberg, Raymond Chase, Billy Lucas amd Cody J. Barker. You are loved. *reference
So many lives lost recently, especially in the area of GLBT youth. It’s really sad that anyone would rather not live, than live gay. I don’t believe people need to agree with the lifestyle, but I do believe people need to compassionate. We live in a world where everyone has differing opinions, why is it that certain ones cause people to kill themselves?
