It almost feels like coming back to your hometown after being away for at least 10 years. So much has changed in the blogging world, and it hasn’t even been a year! In someways, it feels awkward, but at the same time, exciting. I’ve got so much to catch up on.
I’m slowly going through my blogroll trying to figure out who’s still here, who’s gone away, what’s happened to people. At the sametime, I’ve got to do some housekeeping on the blog. I’m going
to
slowly find
my way back
into this.I’m going to slowly find my way back into this. You like that fancy quote block work? I thought it was pretty nifty.
Hey, it’s like I heard when I was leaving for college, “Home will always be home. You can always come back, and it’ll always be here.” Same can apply to blogging in a way…my blog will always be my blog, and it’ll always be here…unless I forget to pay the hosting bills :/.
This time around, I don’t think I’m going to over-blog. Besides, since I’m not in front of the computer for most of the day anymore, it’s not going to be as easy to blog.
To everyone who’s been stopping by every so often, sending me emails, leaving comments…Thank you.
So the journey begins…again. ![]()

I know what you mean. It kind of reminds you of a certain “time” in your life and it can be hard to get back in that frame of mind.
I started my blog at work, and then I lost my job, so it was hard to think in the same terms that I did.
Just take your time and you’ll find a whole new niche. It can be very therapeutic to blog, at least I think so.
I found I had become a bit disconnected over the past couple months - I was so busy with work that I couldn’t blog as much as I wanted to. I’ve taken that step back to writing a bit more again.
Nice to have you back.
Don’t worry - we are all just a bit off our rockers out here and you fit right in. LOL
I don’t feel the same passion I did in the beginning either. I’m blaming it on an extensive work level.
It may sound cliche, but the thing that I like about personal finance blogging is the “personal” part. I consider a few bloggers net friends: Mapgirl, Frank the FSA, you and a few others among them. I hope someday to have an opportunity to actually meet you folks IRL.
You’re right, blogging will always be here. If you ever disappear again, I’ll be sure to email you. Likewise if I ever disappear.
Thanks Maria, Matt, D and LMG!
I feel bad that I just left blogging…but it was just not a priority for sometime. I still feel like I’m not sure I can blog forever. Funny how I couldn’t imagine not blogging when I first started.
LMG, That would be cool huh? After “knowing” someone from blogging for so long…meeting IRL.
And D, you’ve lost passion?? From what I see, you’re just as crazy working and blogging as 5 months ago!
