Seventy-five percent, or 9 out of 12 say they’d rather quit than be fired. Personally, I’d rather be fired. But! There are certain contigencies on this too. I wouldn’t enter the “fire me” mode without at least having tried to correct the situation and make the situation a win-win for the employer and employee. That being said, the reason I’d choose to be fired is simple, unemployment benefits. You don’t qualify if you quit, although you might not qualify if you’re fired.

About Christmas…
I’ve started my Christmas shopping sort of…I’ve been giving it some thought and this year, I decided to do something different with my friends. Family, I’m still going with the traditional buy gifts thing, but with friends I think I’m going to have a nice brunch with some grab bag type gifts.
My group of friends are from high school, so we’ve know each other for sometime, and now some of us have families. We rarely all get together anymore, and now that their are kids in the mix, I think it’d be nice to for everyone to see the little ones. Thus the brunch. Plus I love to eat.
Why You Should Never Leave a Single Property For Multiple Children
I walk by a property everyday, it’s oh, close to 10000 square feet. It’s level and in the middle of town with houses all around…but no house on this lot! I’ve asked around, apparently 10 years ago there was, but it was torn down because it was in really bad shape. My neighbors called it the “scary house.” Well, forward to 2006, and still nothing there.
Freedumb October Contest: Current Standings! D, then Maria, then Mapgirl!
I’m reading them…really! And I will answer them…just give me a little more time. I need to post some content because I’m getting sick of not seeing anything happening on my own blog. Really, even if I don’t respond, I’m reading them all, and I will get to them soon.
Half the month is done! Good luck to all those entered. Remember, $40, $20, and $10!

Seriously, Seriously Need To Consider Another Career. Let Me Tell You What’s Been Going On…
Well, it’s been a bad week for ffb. I’ve wanted to post about so many things and reply to my readers, but I just couldn’t muster the energy to do it. Works been horrible, various life events have sucked, and worst of all I get crapped on…literally.
A Book Review By Freedumb?!?!
Yeah, you heard it right…on Friday, October 27th, I’ll be writing up a review on the book title The Bogleheads’ Guide to Investing. My first book since Dr. Seuss’ Oh, the Place You’ll Go. Given to me by a friend! (ahem)
Be sure to check out the ongoing reviews of the book at AllFinancialMatters and many other great bloggers!
NFL Picks: Week 5
Not as tough this week. I wouldn’t say it’s an easy week, but I like these. I think I’ll have a good shot at hitting 4 out of 6.
Hi, I’m Freedumb, and I’m an Idiot That’s $25 Poorer
Yes, I’ve moved beyond dumb, I’m now officially an idiot. Yesterday, I received a cool looking letter from my bank…you know the ones that typically hold some kind of check with the neat little tear off edges. So there I am, opening up this letter thinking, “Money! Money! Money!” Yeah…uhh, not quite. Instead, the tables turned on me those dirty bank bastards I tell ya! Unfortunately, I was the idiot. Insufficient Funds notice.
On Welfare, When All Is Said and Done…
“Imagine for a second, you’ve lost your job. The economy is in a slump, no one is hiring, or so the media and rumors say. You’re sitting at home contemplating what to do next, and the thought of welfare comes up.”
I started off saying that in my post earlier about welfare. And it’s kind of something that deserves more though than I gave it originally–that’s a problem with being a sort of extrovert. I say before, I think. In this case, I write before I think.
