Bill Clinton vs. Fox, Round 1

26 Sep

I just thought this was interesting.  Right wingers claim innocence, and of course left wingers claim this was a setup.  What do you think?  Well, video embedding is not working, so here’s a link to the video.

I have to agree with Bill. Richard Clark is the man to look to for the answers he was involved across the board. I understand Bill’s anger, this happens on both sides. No one takes blame, responsibility for their actions.

This whole thing is going to be smoking until the elections. Along with lowering gas prices and a few other miscellaneous things the Republicans have to build Bush’s approval rating for the party.

The important piece I carry away from this,is without the CIA & FBI to certify the information any President would have his hands locked. This is how our system works, you can run off all nilly willy doing whatever you want.

BTW, I like when politicians get fiery…because by becoming angry that means it means something to them. If you can just blow it off, they didn’t hit deep enough. I do detect an air of arrogance on the side of Chris Wallace (I believe)…but whatever. I’m not taking sides in this…I just found it entertaining.

I do have to add, the fact that Bill said “I tried, and I failed” is pretty amazing. I give him credit for owning up. He’s not the only one that’s failed though…and that’s the part that I don’t get…

I don’t get our failure either and I look up to Bill for this admission. Although, he has nothing to lose anymore. Bin Laden should have been caught. With the power and the knowledge we have access to, you can’t tell me “they” don’t know where he is. I love it when Bill says he “had a hit out”. (not very christian of me)

I wish politicians would focus on what is best for us all and stop fighting like children.

It would appear that either Bin Laden has applied the lessons the CIA taught him VERY well or they know where he is and will take him out when it is most advantageous to the present administration. I, too, enjoyed Clinton’s candor in this issue and don’t blame him for being annoyed at being set up (or so it appeared). He was damned during his presidency for being too aggressive and now he’s being damned for not being aggressive enough. After all, the current administration hasn’t been able to take Bin Laden out either and they’ve had 6 years so far to try.

America has had way more than 6 years to stop Bin Laden…This administration and the previous and the previous previous and maybe even the one before that…

Yes, it’s true that we’ve had a long time to get rid of him. But, afterall, we are the ones who originally armed and trained him. Maybe we should think these things through to look at long-term consequesces.

As far as having a long time to get rid of him. Refer to the video clip. No one – I mean no president in office until Bush Jr. was given the go ahead to eliminate Bin Laden. This coming from the CIA & FBI. All administrations may have wanted him gone but only our current one was issued the approval to “make it so”.

That is an important piece of info. Sorry I do not like or respect our current for more than the fact that he is President.

I know both parties play games, but it seems to me Republicans are always looking for the scape goat. This mornings news had Denny Hassert on regarding his Page (Pedifile) his response – I think the Democrats are behind this. Hello wake up. For one moment lets say they are – How much money would they have to PAY YOU to make you admit that you are a Pedifile? That’s just ridiculous. Own up to your responsibilities and move forward. This was brought to your attention 2 years ago not last month!!

I wish the politics would be more about the economy, immigration, and social programs than about abortion, gay rights, and what color your state is…and dare I say it, even stem cell research…

100% in agreement. And actually when I go to vote I try to make my decisions without those items.

For instance, I would NEVER abort a child. This is my personal choice and a decision based on my feeling and with my God and my love for children. I may not agree with the person choosing this path, but I believe the Bible says I should not place judgment, so who am I to tell anyone? why is it an issue?

I believe these things become issues to evoke emotions and deter us from what needs to be done.

My best political advice, ignore anything with emotion. Keep a notebook and write down only the facts that pertain to politics. When the election gets close read through your notes and make a tally. Go for the best man/woman. Forget about parties.
