So life handed me a bunch of lemons this week…The saying goes, “Life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” I say screw that! I’m going to make me some lemon bars.
Where do I start? Let’s see I can think of at least 4 things this week that put a damper on it…2 you already know, but I’ll elaborate more in this post.

| Work is going crazy. Customers complaining left and right. ”Give me my solution now!!!” | Just got to deal with this one. Step by step. It’s slowly normalizing. I don’t know though, next week could be just as bad. We’ll see. |
| Work computer crashes! | Luckily I had the essential backed up on my 2ndary workstation. Still sucks though…you get so used to all the icons in the right place. Received my replacement hard drive…going to send it in for re-imaging and everything on Monday. I guess the plus side is that everyone gives you an extra, “it’s okay his computer crashed,” comment when dealing with crazy customers above. |
| Bought a tv tuner on eBay. It doesn’t work. | Pulling apart my dash, getting everything setup, only to find out the entire device doesn’t work! I guess I got some good exercise…Hopefully the eBayer will live up to his “satisfaction guaranteed” statement on his auction. Otherwise kiss $70 goodbye! |
| My mobile phone breaks… | The damn antenna broke off! And Brownie had nothing to do with it. It just fell off. I guess the abuse I gave it took its toll. So I called wireless company up, and bought a new phone. Guess what? They’re paying me $11 to get a new phone!! Sure I had to renew my 2 year contract, but I’ve been with them for over 12 years now. Who’s this mystery company? Sprint! |
There you have it. Lemonade, Lemon Bars, whatever. I still hate lemons…except when you make some awesome pasta dishes with them…they taste pretty good on fish too. You had any lemons recently?
Another lemon to add…Just at the dog park and Brownie and his friend are playing when this other dog gets involved…Brownie barks and snaps at him…Not surprising, when Brownie gets into playing with other dogs, if he doesn’t know the dog coming to play and they get all up in his face, he’ll defend himself…Well, this other dog didn’t listen and kept insisting…they got into a little tiff…It wasn’t bad…no one was biting each other, just lots of noise. And they stopped after about 3 seconds of this.
This lady goes, “who’s dog is this brown one?” And I go, that’s mine…And she says, “You better watch him, he’s aggressive.” And that’s when shit hits the roof. Don’t ever call my defenseless dog anything, just like I don’t ever disrespect your dog based on one incident.
“My dog has _never_ got in a fight,” she says. So that means what? Your dog is incapabale of being in a fight? It wasn’t like Brownie was the only one snapping there…Her dog was pretty into it too.
Mind you this lady comes to the park pretty often, and she has never made an attempt to say hi to Brownie, yet I always say hi to her dog…I even know her dog’s name.
So I told her, “You know, you’re dog harrassed Brownie before…” Which probably is the reason he’s not very fond of this dog…
She replies, “Well that’s what dogs do.” Hmph. So dogs can push, harass and bark…but I guess dogs don’t fight? I should’ve asked her what her response would be if a stranger, or worse yet a person she didn’t like, ran up to her and started cutting off a conversation/game with her friend.
She finally said, “Your in denial [freedumb].” My jaw dropped. Did she first accuse Brownie of being aggressive, and then have the nerve to tell me I’m in denial? WTF! I just didn’t want to waste my time at that point. It wasn’t worth it.
Luckily her dog learned not to barge in…too bad the human didn’t.
Thank goodness it’s the weekend!!!!!!

Hm. This week I could complain about work, but why bother. It’s work. It happens. Life continues.
