If you’re wondering why I haven’t been blogging as much recently, it’s because works been crazy. On top of that, my primary work computer CRASHED. When it rains it pours!
I already have plan Z in place. I have enough funds to last me until I figure out what to do next. So why not just quit? My job affords me many opportunities…I’m going to keep moving forward with it. I don’t like to waste opportunities. Plus Brownie would not like being home alone.
Assuming no option for a severance package was in place, your termination date is near, and you have a choice…quit or be fired. What would you do?

I just quit two clients this past week. Working for them was actually costing me in what I can be making focusing in on my own project and REI.

Hmmmmmm No severance?….. Well, but there’s always unemployment right, at least if you get fired anyway. With the unemployment option open & if you don’t plan on continuing in the field you’re currently in then hey why not get fired. I’m pretty much hoping for that my damn self, but then again the lease on my apt is up in 2mos, after which I will be moving in with my mom (her house is paid off & has 3 spare bedrooms). Quite a drastic change for me but I HATE MY JOB & I hate the corporate world so I will train for a completely different vocation while working crappy part time jobs &/or delivering newspapers. So in my case getting fired would not be detrimental to my next venture & would definitely ease my peace of mind in the present, but knowing myself I’ll probably just stick it out for 2 more mos & put my 2wks in…….

prlinkbiz, Glad you could make a move like that…hopefully it was on somewhat good terms.
Vari, that’s true…Firing means you can collect unemployment. When I read “I HATE MY JOB,” I though, “Holy crap! Exactly my sentiments.” Hope you find some gratifying work soon!
