I hope you are. The Citi Dividend Rewards and Professional cards are my choice. Combined I can get 3-5% back (in the form of gift certificates) for everyday purchases, stretching my dollar. Not too shabby. It is important to know the benefits of using any credit card, but one in particular may help prevent a would be thief from using your hard earned credit, Citi Photocard.
I just signed up for mine. With one application form, I signed up for a photocard for both my Citi cards. I snapped a pic, printed it on my color inkjet with some photopaper, trimmed, attached, and mailed! 3 weeks later, I have two brand new cards. It included my picture and my signature right in the front of the card. Nice. You have to call Citi to have them mail you the application if you don’t still have it. When you first open the credit card, they include the Photocard application. Anyway, have at it. (Note, I am not pictured below. That is not my name. That is not my credit card number.
)

Citi® Photocard offers you free added security and a great form of photo identification by putting your picture and signature on the front of your Citi card. Now that’s something to smile about. Just call 1-800-248-4226 for details.

Sounds like an awesome feature from Citi! But isn’t this sort of a redundant feature? After all, most places usually ask you for some form of picture ID whenever you pay with a credit card, right? Also couldn’t it be bad cuz if you did lose your credit card, the thief would know what you looked like?
And uh, the moment you lost your credit card, couldn’t you just call and cancel it?

Andy, I think the benefits outweigh the cons…The fact that your picture is right there makes using the credit card a lot harder. Considering signatures are not effective and we all know retailers don’t always ask for ID…I use the “Check ID” method in the signature box, but even that doesn’t work all the time.
As far as knowing what I look like if they stole or found my card, I don’t think that’s too much of a concern for me…I’d definitely call to cancel ASAP though…
